About the Position
The Executive Director (Civil) role at RVNL is a senior leadership position involving planning, execution, and management of large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly Metro Rail, Urban Rail, and MRTS systems. Educational Qualification & Experience
Essential Qualification
- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 25 years of post-qualification experience in infrastructure project planning and execution.
- Experience must include work in:
- Metro Rail / Urban Rail / MRTS projects
- CPSEs, PSUs, Railways, or Central/State Government organizations
- Out of total experience, at least 8 years must be specifically in Metro planning and construction.
Eligibility for Serving Officials
Applicants currently in service must meet one of the following conditions:
- Holding analogous posts in Level-15 (CDA) / E-9 (IDA), OR
- Level-14 (CDA) with minimum 25 years of Group ‘A’ service, OR
- IDA E-8 grade with at least 4 years of service in that grade
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: Not more than 57 years
- Cut-off Date: 13 February 2026
Age eligibility will be calculated as on the closing date of the vacancy notice.
Salary & Benefits
The selected candidate will be placed in the IDA E-9 pay scale.

- ₹1,50,000 – ₹3,00,000 per month
